That depends on your requirements. One has better performance, other stability and security. In general we recommend using OpenVPN as it's the most sophisticated open-source and community developed system with very good history avaiable on the market.
The Safe Networking Service backed by OpenVPN runs a single instance daemon by default. It can also be configured in High-Availability mode with minimum of 2 instances. If you enable this you'll get load-balanced service using 2 IPs and thanks to routing magic the clients may communicate on the same network even if connected to different host.
The OpenVPN has 2 compression types. The older version used LZO data compression. The latest version supports LZ4 which is the best algorithm to give you maximum performance while being very gentle to CPU. You need to avoid using LZO if you want to get the best performance for your clients but sometimes there is such need because of compatibility so the option is still available.
Your clients can use almost any OS, mainly Windows, Linux but also an android or iOS devices.
There is fair usage policy 1TB in data transfered per 24hour. The instance will be shut down because of security rules. If you plan to exceed the limits please ask us.
